Picasa isn’t really a web tool but it is so useful and can have so much value for doing things on-line that it deserves a mention.

Everyone is collecting images these days. Whether from their digital camera, mobile, screenshots or downloaded items, the numbers stored on devices have increased remarkable over recent years. Furthermore, there is a demand for more than just text in almost all we create on-line or in local documents or presentations to promote or record events, support teaching and learning and, of course, everyone likes to share albums of this or that.


I have also published on the next page a presentation which outlines some of the basic tools in Picasa for organising, fixing and sharing photos, as well as a brief look at Google+, Jalbum and Irfanview.
