Although still comparatively new, it is reported that Google+ profiles and Pages are having an impact on search results for organisations, especially those with smart use of appropriate keywords, links to their websites and who have posted interesting material regularly that attracts new followers.
Whereas Facebook is often blocked in educational institutions and, indeed, many commercial networks too now, because of what is viewed as considerable inappropriate content and its essentially social bias, Google+ is rarely restricted.
