To Calm Me Down
A little friend just spoke to me
Her voice was soft and clear
She put a smile upon my face
I was so pleased to hear.
It only took a minute
No words were really said
But now I shall be happy
As I dream in bed.
For too long I've been thinking
But never really thought
Just going round in circles
Like a great big nought.
One day I was so serious
I must have frowned all day
What a silly boy I was
Nearly scaring her away.
Trying not to say too much
But not too little either
Trying not to stand too close
But always right beside her.

I'm very much in love with her
And she's in love with me.
